The HONOR brand has presented an updated version of the MagicBook Pro laptop. Its main feature was the use of AMD Ryzen 4000H series processors. The laptop also boasts a 16.1-inch display with a thin bezel, fairly compact dimensions and support for fast charging.
The new MagicBook Pro (2020) is offered in two versions with a six-core Ryzen 5 4600H or an eight-core Ryzen 7 4800H, clocked at up to 4.2 GHz. A discrete video card is not provided in a laptop. To cool the components, two SharkFin Dual Fan 2.0 fans are used, capable of rotating at speeds up to 5800 rpm. The manufacturer claims that after 30 “runs” of the laptop in the CineBench R15 benchmark, it gives 1611 points in the multi-core mode, which indicates the absence of throttling.
In addition to powerful processors, the MagicBook Pro (2020) features 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. 16.1 ” Full HD display occupies 90% of the lid area. This is achieved through thin bezels: 14.6 mm bottom and 4.9 mm top and side. With dimensions of 369 x 234 x 16.9 mm, the laptop weighs about 1.7 kg.
Of the connectors are USB Type-C, which also serves for charging, USB Type-A, HDMI and a 3.5 mm audio port. Supports 65W fast charging with 50% recharge in 30 minutes. A fingerprint scanner is provided for secure authorization.
The HONOR MagicBook Pro (2020) Ryzen Edition in the version with Ryzen 5 4600H costs $ 671, and the modification based on the Ryzen 7 4800H is priced at $ 743. The laptop will go on sale on July 30, but so far only in China.
